All in on SpankMatch
Well, that was fast. Winter may have come hard, but it dipped out just as quickly (like a certain third-party provider we know). Anyway, we’re not getting our panties in a twist. Spring is in the air, and we’ve moved all the way on from cuffing season to focus on new kinds of connections, or shall we say matches…SpankMatches. For all the juicy details, just keep reading…
As we’ve mentioned in previous updates, we’re burning the midnight oil getting SpankMatch up and running. Just because SpankPay (RIP) is no more, that doesn’t mean we’re giving up on our community, and this new product is all about making sure sex workers are in the driver’s seat when it comes to their careers and their working conditions.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game
If there’s anything the whole Wyre fiasco taught us, it’s that sextech discrimination is a real and present danger to anyone in or related to the adult industry — not that we needed a lesson. But just in case you want to go equipped to your next dinner with some talking points, here’s a little sampling of the tech companies unfairly targeting sex workers and the larger adult community.
If that weren’t infuriating enough, our friends over at XBIZ and the FSC (Free Speech Coalition) just issued a new report detailing just how unfairly sex workers are being financially discriminated against. According to the survey conducted between December 2022 and March 2023, some 62% of 400 sex workers reported having lost or being denied bank accounts due to their involvement in the adult industry, and more than 40% have lost an account or financial tool in the past year alone. Here’s another shady statistic: 1 out of 3 performers reported having been unwillingly outed as sex workers to their financial institutions.
With the fate of SpankPay officially sealed for some time now, we can’t say we’re surprised, but we are more motivated to keep fighting the good fight for financial freedom. On May 11th, we’ll be joining FSC for their first-ever Capitol Hill fly-in day!

Getting down to Xbiz-ness
On May 17, we’ll be headed down to Miami to do the rounds at Xbiz. While we’re down there, we’ll be hosting a special SpankMatch swag giveaway at Mix from 4:00 to 4:50 PM in the outdoor pavilion, giving everyone who comes out the opportunity to sign up and reserve their username on the platform.
We’ll also be selecting 3 lucky new signees for whom we’ll create a custom-printed t-shirt with their usernames along with a $200 prize, so don’t miss it!
